Woke up refreshed and had a lovely breakfast, only 70km to the airport and plenty of time to get there.  I returned the car and got to the terminal in plenty of time for check in, even had time for a cup coffee and a cigarette outside. Headed upstairs to passport control and security check in but my boarding pass wouldn't scan, tried it several times, the security officer tried it a few times then noticed the date....   Somehow instead of booking my flights for 5th and 7th of November, my return was for the 7th of DECEMBER!!!  With Ryanair it was going to cost me £60 to change my ticket to the next days flight, plus the additional cost of the new ticket - I paid less than £50 for the original ticket - so it would have been cheaper for me to just keep the ticket and book another flight, so that's what I did...  with Jet2 because they were quite a bit cheaper than Ryanair.  Booking com to the rescue again, found a room for £20, 10 minutes walk from the airport.  Spent the rest of the day wandering around the eastern side of Faro, had a lovely meal in a local cafe - 3 courses and a coke for 14€ - If I'm not on a holiday I prefer to eat where the locals eat, same meal in a tourist area would have probably cost upwards of 30€.

Anyway I'm back home now, still buzzing just waiting to hear from the estate agent.
